Here is what we learned from our "Redbone" combo by Childish Gambino. Here, I am marking the combo, while Chelsea dances full out (so watch her lol). There's more to add on and transitions to fix, so we will definitely revisit this in Archives!

Pop-up Lyrical was a beautiful experience! This combo meant so much to me on many levels 💕 Thank you ladies for giving it your all! It was a pleasure meeting new dancers and reconnecting with former students.

I spend a significant amount of time in the studio talking to myself and walking in circles 😂. Welcome to the first installment of a new series called "The Process." The joy on everyone's faces, the cheers and encouragement of one another, and most importantly, the community being built reminds me of why I started doing open classes. And shout out to little Christina on the right. She held her own and nailed the combo!

Although each class is different, we practice some of the same elements including movement exploration, musicality, floor work practice, technique explanation and much more. On this day we did not get to improv which is a big part of my contemporary classes, but we were pressed for time. Class was everything ‼️ It's an instructor's dream to work with dancers that just "get it" and Raven and Faith GOT IT! So glad to finally get these two together in class. The way they move compliments each other.

Modern was everything! 🙌🏽 Y'all, it's been a while since I've taught Modern and I can't believe how much I missed it. I LOVE teaching this style! If you come to my contemporary classes, then you know that my warm-ups and down the room combos tend to lean more on the Modern side anyway. I felt right at home in class with the wonderful ladies that came out today.
