Who Is Ms. Tiffany?

Dance Educator. Choreographer. Artistic Director.

I’ve worked with clients of all ages in order to help them discover their full potential, while taking an approach that focuses on patience and encouragement. Through my unique and personalized teaching methods, my students are able to develop training habits and effective learning strategies that last. My greatest joy is watching students succeed and unlock their potential.

Tiffany's journey into dance began in Indianapolis, Indiana, at age of 4. She trained under the direction of Sandra Holiday, founder of the dance troupe FIRE. FIRE performed African style, and modern dance. Tiffany began performing with the dance troupe at 6 years old. At a young age Tiffany was brought into the world of performing. FIRE toured all over the state of Indiana, and surrounding states.

After performing with FIRE for 8 years, Tiffany began ballet training at Barb and Company Dance Studio. She studied with Barb & Company for several years. While attending Arlington High School, Tiffany was involved in the drama and theater department where she had the opportunity to write, direct and act in several plays. She also was responsible for creating choreography for many of the musical theater productions.

After graduating high school, Tiffany began dance studies at Birmingham-Southern College. She engaged in daily ballet classes that included pointe work. Other dance styles she studied at BSC included jazz, modern, anatomy, pilates and choreography courses. She had the privilege of studying under Ruth Henry, Edith Monroe, Mira Popovich & Wes Chapman among many other educators.  Tiffany fell in love with Modern dance under the direction of Teri Weksler, who attended Juilliard and has danced with the likes of Mark Morris and Robert Battle. Tiffany was featured as a soloist in Weksler's modern piece "Pell Mell" that was performed in the 2007 BSC dance department Spring recital. Also, Tiffany choreographed one of the first hip hop pieces performed at BSC. Her piece "8 Days of Christmas" was performed at the 2006, "Taste of the Season" Christmas performance. Her piece was recognized by the dance faculty at the 2007 Honors Day awards ceremony where she received an award for Outstanding Choreography.

Tiffany joined the Corky Bell School of Dance faculty in 2007, teaching at two of the four locations. Tiffany has also worked with G-Force Cheer & Dance Gym staff, in Hueytown, AL, for the 2009-2010 competition season. At G-Force, she was the head coach and choreographer of hip-hop dance team leading the team to take 1st place at every competition of the season.

While her main focus is education, Tiffany has had the pleasure of being a member of Umbadu Dance Company and performed with the New York based dance company Movement Workshop Group in their performance of "Racine D'or" in 2013.

Tiffany founded Ms. Tiffany's Dance in 2007 after witnessing the perils of overcrowded dance classes that are not properly staffed and move at a pace that is not suitable for every student. She now resides in Cahaba Heights with her husband Robert and son.
