About the event
Beginning Contemporary Technique & Choreography is a beginner-friendly class designed to introduce the foundations of contemporary dance in a clear and supportive environment. Dancers will explore core contemporary concepts such as grounded movement, fluid transitions, breath, balance, and musicality.
Class begins with guided technique exercises to build coordination, body awareness, and confidence. Dancers will then learn a short choreography combination that applies the skills practiced during class in an approachable, step-by-step way.
This class is ideal for dancers who are new to contemporary, returning after time away, or looking to strengthen their movement foundation while enjoying choreography in a welcoming space.
Please note: All open classes are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you're unable to attend after registering, your class will be donated to our Community Pass Program, which provides free dance training to dancers in need.
