General Technique

Intermediate/Advanced Technique is a dynamic, technique-focused class designed for experienced dancers who want to challenge themselves, refine their skills, and expand their movement vocabulary.

Class incorporates a variety of technical disciplines, drawing from jazz, contemporary, ballet, and other movement styles. Dancers can expect challenging across-the-floor progressions, intricate footwork, advanced turns, leaps, floorwork, and exercises that develop strength, coordination, control, and technical precision.

Beyond traditional technique training, this class provides opportunities to workshop unfamiliar skills, experiment with movement pathways, and explore more complex technical concepts. Mats and other training tools may be incorporated when appropriate.

Class content is intentionally flexible and responsive to the dancers in attendance. While each session has a technical focus, exercises and explorations may evolve based on student needs, questions, and areas of interest. Choreography may occasionally be incorporated, but it is not a required component.
