🎥 Afro Contemporary (OPEN LEVEL)

Afro Contemporary is a full class experience blending contemporary technique with African-inspired movement for a grounded, expressive approach to training.

We’ll begin with an intentional warm-up to connect to the body, then move into technique work in center and across the floor, exploring rhythm, texture, turns, floorwork, and expansive movement quality. Class will culminate in choreography that brings the day’s training together in a dynamic, expressive phrase.

This class leans more contemporary in structure and technique, while drawing inspiration from grounded rhythmic movement traditions that encourage freedom, connection, and full-bodied expression.

Open to dancers ready to explore movement with both strength and release.
